Where is the label designed?

All prints are designed on the Gold Coast Australia.

When and why did you found the label?

The label was founded in late November 2014 and was originally going to be textiles (Cushion Covers,Bedspreads etc).
I have always been interested in Reiki, Holistic Healing, Mindfulness Practices and love how color can change the way you feel.  I noticed that Anxiety and Depression was becoming more commonly diagnosed within both adults and our younger generation and it inspired me to learn about how these conditions affect not only those that are diagnosed but the support network around them.  The more I learnt about Anxiety and Depression as well as personally witnessing it within my social network, the more I begun to understand how challenging living with either condition can be and felt that textiles could provide a great outlet to combine holistic healing and help to stimulate/balance the subconscious mind.  It was also a creative outlet to share my interests and an opportunity to create not just a label but a lifestyle to inspire people to approach life with positivity.

What inspires your prints?

All prints I design are inspired by a combination things from nature, the people I meet & the experiences that have been part of my journey.  I’ve always enjoyed how African Fashion is so colorful and wanted to bring that to the 15/16 collection combining on trend colors with our healing prints to create a look that was bold and bright but also girlie but masculine at the same time – you could say where Bohemian travels Africa.  A major theme that highlights this is the use of “head wraps” throughout our SS15/16 photoshoot.

How would you describe the label?

Annabelle and Eve is a mix of bright colors with a holistic approach.  The goal is to create a bold and unique look that is high fashion but affordable.

What draws you to the fashion world?

I Fell in-love with fashion when I was living in France and visited a Fashion House.  It was an amazing experience and has become a creative outlet that has enabled me to share who I am and what I am interested in with others.

Do you think the high cut one-pieces are making a comeback?

I definitely think high cuts have been a popular theme this year in Australian Swimwear.  It is a flattering style that elongates the legs and is stylish without having to “bare all”.

What is the trick to wearing it?

The key to swimwear looking great is confidence.  The great thing about a high cut one-piece apart from it’s versatility is that it elongates the legs.  For those who don’t want to draw attention to their legs, it can also be dressed up with accessories to draw your attention elsewhere or with a kaftan and belt for a resort style look.

Are there any other styles that are common in the collection this season?

A major theme throughout our collection is the Brazilian cut Brief. Our bikini’s also have contrasted sections so enable them to mix and match with other pieces in the collection.

Are there any up-and-coming fashion shows where people can see the collection?

Annabelle and Eve will be taking part in the RAW Creative Artists Event “Futures” which is on 5th February 2016.
