Where do you call home?
Difficult question as I have been living in many places but I think home is where you are living right now… so that’s Madrid.
How did you get into photography?
I guess I was just playing around with my first camera and I never stopped.
As you look through the viewfinder, what is the most critical moment in the capture of your image?
When I am shooting I pray to get the right image… an image with soul, but that only happens if the model is the right one and that does not happen every time.
What do you think makes a truly memorable photo?
That depends on the eye of the person who sees it, but for me a photo is memorable when it captures your attention for more than a second and makes you feel something.
What does fashion mean to you?
Not much.
What’s the craziest/funniest thing that ever happened in one of your shoots?
Once we were shooting in the forest with a small river and the make up artist ended up falling in the cold water trying to rescue a small dog.

What has been your favorite photo location or session?
A location where nature reaches the beauty of the model I am shooting.

Just one… Canon 5D
If you had to choose one lens which one would it be and why?
Canon 85mm L
What is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?
My sunglasses.
How important is Photoshop in your final images?
Unfortunately a lot.
Do you play music while shooting? If so, what are you playing right now?
Music is 70% of a good photo. It depends if I am on a job doing fashion or doing my personal shootings.
What advice do you have for somebody who wants to pursue photography?
Try it and don’t worry about what camera you can afford. It’s not about the camera, it’s about the passion and your eye. Trust me, the camera is the last thing for you to worry about.
