Set on Fire Island, The Visitor is a conceptual editorial photography story by Susan Eckert featuring model Dani Cipolla.
The series imagines a mysterious beauty from another world arriving with the desire to captivate and conquer this one, using a distinctive geodesic dome as the setting for the story.

The concept plays with the idea of a visitor from another world who dreams of captivating and conquering this one.
For the shoot, Susan Eckert found a distinctive geodesic dome on Fire Island that reminded her of a spaceship. The entire editorial was photographed inside and outside the structure.
Susan Eckert
Susan Eckert is a speaker, educator and published author of Body & Soul. Her work has been selected for gallery exhibitions in Vermont, New York and the Midwest.
Her photographs have appeared in publications including Digital Photo Pro, Dark Beauty Magazine, Carrie Leigh’s NUDE, Professional Photographer Magazine and Philosophie, as well as other local and international fine art photography publications.
As her creative focus evolved beyond traditional boudoir photography, Eckert began concentrating more strongly on conceptual and editorial storytelling such as The Visitor.
Dani Cipolla
Dani Cipolla, a former Fenton Moon model, had worked with Susan Eckert for several years before this editorial. She had also previously appeared in an image by Eckert that became a finalist in a Digital Photo Pro portrait competition.
Stylist Nikky Waters played an important role in shaping the visual identity of the shoot. The owner of a high-end lingerie boutique in Woodbury, Long Island, she brought an extensive selection of lingerie valued at more than $12,000.
The wardrobe included pieces from Atelier Bordelle, Collette & Sebastian, Nevaeh Intimates, Cosabella and Dreamgirl.
