Night Call Lyon
Les fleurs du Mâle
Lost in the City of Lights’ fantasized nights
For over five years, the photographer Pierre Sage has been staging fantasized scenes to shed light on some of Lyon’s most beautiful nightlife establishments. A whirlwind choreography of lights, impressions and foreplay, where eyes meet, bodies attract and desires come to life. Between light and shadow, let yourself be drawn into the sensuous universe of this fantasized nightlife …
Lyon.
Where I was born.
Cradled in the wonder of colored lights and love,
Given life, brought up and made wise, « Sage ».
Where I lived out my passion for mathematics as a school teacher;
Succombed to computer science, tempted and tamed
By all things binary: double life, double strife;
Expression of my creativity and sensitivity.
Where I awakened, swept away by the desire
To orchestrate an imaginary world of sensual aesthetics,
Revealed myself in a universe of imagery and fantasy,
Of colored shadow and light.
Now I have come full circle. Enlightened by Lyon;
She enlightens me still with her complexity,
Her charm and femininity.
Celebrated in echoes at every turn,
This world-class City of Lights is at once
Romantic and gastronomic,
Courted and coveted.
As Charles Baudelaire, author of The Flowers of Evil, once wrote,
« It is woman that casts the darkest shadow or the brightest light into our dreams. »
With the privilege of maturity, I now realize what this truly means.
