Hair Apparent – Scott A. Woodward

Hair Apparent is a colourful fashion and beauty photography series by Scott A. Woodward, created with hair and makeup artist Andrea Claire and model Valerie Andrade. The six-image project draws on dramatic hairstyles, strong silhouettes and pop-art colour.

Inspired by a Harry Benson photograph of Dolly Parton adjusting her makeup in front of a mirror, Woodward and Claire place expressive hairstyling at the centre of the composition. Each colour variation gives the same visual idea a different mood.
