Martina by Paolo Lazzarotti

Photographer Paolo Lazzarotti presents nude model Martina in a nude art photography editorial created on the wild Tuscan coast for LIONS Art Magazine.

Inspired by the relationship between the human body and the natural landscape, the series places Martina among rock, sea and wind, reflecting Paolo Lazzarotti’s long-standing connection to nature and landscape photography.

Body and Nature

Paolo Lazzarotti had imagined this photographic setting a year before finally bringing the concept to life. As a landscape photographer with a deep connection to nature, he was drawn to a raw coastal environment shaped by the sea and wind.

His idea was to place the sculptural form of the human body within this elemental landscape, creating the impression of nature shaping and protecting its own creation among the rocks. The series was photographed south of Livorno in Tuscany, in a location that proved physically demanding for the model.

Paolo Lazzarotti lives in a small Italian village close to Cinque Terre National Park, the Gulf of the Poets, the Tuscan countryside and a wild coastline where he has created some of his finest and awarded seascapes.

He began photography at the age of 19 with a compact film camera given to him by his father. Entirely self-taught, he developed his photographic approach through experimentation, studying his own mistakes and gradually building an individual visual style.

Landscapes, sunsets and subjects connected to nature became central to his work. That fascination with the strength and scale of the natural world continues to influence his photography.

Martina · Hérodiade

Hérodiade is a 23-year-old model and artist from Padula, Italy. She describes herself as an animal lover, nude model, painter and bohemian artist with a strong sense of personal freedom.

For her, modeling is a way to express herself freely and to transform the body into a living artwork. The work also allows her to travel throughout Italy, collaborate with artists and pursue the possibility of working internationally.

Alongside modeling, she has studied art and painting and hopes to develop her work as a painter, complete her studies and become a pole dance teacher.
