How long have you been a photographer?

I have been interested in photography as a hobby for many years, but only consider myself a professional photographer for about 3 years.

As you look through the viewfinder, what is the most critical moment in the capture of your image?

By the time I’m looking through the viewfinder everything should already be set up. The location, mood and overall image concept should be there. I’m just trying to make sure I capture it in focus!

How would you describe your style?

Edgy portraits.

What do you think makes a truly memorable photo?

It’s a combination of timing, location and subject. Hard to plan, but when it happens it makes everything worthwhile.

We know that each of us has someone or something, which inspires our life and work. Can you tell us the true basis of your inspiration?

Other photographers inspire me and make me want to be better and do more.

What does fashion mean to you?

To me fashion is a way of looking at the world. It’s a certain “angle” or viewpoint.

What’s the craziest/funniest thing that ever happened in one of your shoots?

Not enough room to type that out lol.

How important is a website and social media for your business?

Social media more so than my website actually. More people discover me via social sites than through my website.

Do you play music whilst shooting?

If I’m shooting inside yes of course. But I shoot outside a lot so usually no music.

If so, what are you playing right now?

Nothing playing now. I’m not shooting.

What advice do you have for somebody who wants to pursue photography?

Just do it. Don’t let lack of equipment or experience or anything deter you. Start making things happen now. The longer you wait the more potential for you to never do it.

What lies ahead for you?

More video work as well as amazing editorials coming up this fall.
